Step 1.
Download SoftEther VPN Server Manager for your OS (Windows, MacOS or Linux).
Step 2.
Install it.
Step 3.
Run SoftEther VPN Server Manager.
Click “New Settings” for creating new connection to the server.
Step 4.
Enter the following settings:
- “Setting Name” – service name as you see fit;
- “Host Name” – IP-address that you received in the e-mail;
- “Password” – administrator password that you set at the initial configuring of the server.
Make sure you use your administrator password and NOT the Client Area or VPN user credentials.
Click “OK”, then click “Connect”.
Step 5.
You are in the main interface of the server management.
Step 6.
In “Manage Virtual Hub” section you can check / set up log-files settings.
Click “Log Save Settings”.
Step 7.
In “IPsec / L2TP Setting” section you can change the protocol to L2TPv3.
Step 8.
In “OpenVPN / MS-SSTP Setting” section you can change the protocol to OpenVPN or MS-SSTP.
Step 9.
In “VPN Azure Setting” you can set up secure VPN connection from your home PC to your office PC.

Step 10.
In “Manage Virtual Hub” section you can set up traffic filtering in accordance with the laws of your country.
Click “Manage Access List” then click “New” for creating new filter.
Step 11.
Enter filter name, IP-address or subnet mask for blocking access to web-site.
Click “OK”, then click “Save”.
