Step 1.
Open “System Preferences”.
Select “Network” under “Internet & Wireless”.
Step 2.
Add a new network by selecting “+” below the network list.
Step 3.
Under Interface, select “VPN”.
Step 4.
Change the following settings:
- “Interface” – VPN.
- “VPN Type” – L2TP over IPsec.
- “Service Name” – name as you see fit.
Click “Create”.
Step 5.
Add new configuration.
Step 6.
- “Server Address” – IP-address that you received in the e-mail.
- “Account Name” – your username that you set at the initial configuring of the server.
Click “Authentication Settings…”
Step 7.
Type “Password” that you set at the initial configuring of the server and “Shared Secret” – vpnext.
Make sure you use your VPN username and password and NOT the Client Area credentials.
Click “Advanced…”
Step 8.
Make sure “Send all traffic over VPN connection” is checked, and click “OK”.
Click “Apply”.
Click “Connection”.
